My pranking addiction is back...and it's not even October

Best thing all day was the electricity going out. Seems fun at first, sure, but then you realize that not only will studying be difficult, but your new electric furnace (just installed today) is out, and the apartment will go back to its piping 50 degrees of last week. So, after several phone calls on Anne's part to the manager, the owner, the power company, boys who might know what they're doing, the furnace man, the maintenance man, and of course a trip to the breaker box, we were only left with candles and a search in the underground for the complex's breakers. No luck there, but fortunately someone knew they were on the other side of the building and Anne and I went on a successful hunt to find our switch (it was only our apartment that had issues) and got things working again. It's unclear whether someone was playing with us, or that something creepy with our oven and Anne rubbing metals together creating a spark was the culprit. (Probably the latter :)). But that wasn't the best part. Why haven't people been shutting out other people's apartments lights long before now? And we thought flipping the switch off and on in Michelle's room last year while she would talk to Roger on the phone for hours was fun. We immediately returned to the breaker box, flipped Michael's swtich over in 5, just as Anne was telling him our mysterious power outage story. He was of course, surprised to see that his own apartment was having the same problem and so Anne promptly told him what the *power company* said about recovering the electricity: go to your kitchen box and flip the first switch 5 times. So he did, and with Janae and I outside at the box, it magically worked and his power was on again! Anne couldn't resist telling him our plot, whereas I would have milked it for all it was worth. It all worked out though, because they then did it to his roommate who called and asked Michael just how he'd gotten it fixed. When Michael repeated the instructions, Cody's reply was, "Even if the first switch is for the cabinet?" What a hoot. When it didn't work at first (wonder why) Anne said it was imperative to count back and forth as only one swtich of the five. Low and behold, (with she and Michael standing outside) Cody got things under control. Needless to say, Halloween or not, I'm in for some more mischief...
